HR Assistant

MEA Strategic Solutions is seeking an entry level HR Assistant to work at our client site in midtown Manhattan.  This is contract to perm position paying $20/hr.

  • The main function of the HR Assistant is to handle a variety of personnel related administrative duties.  To act as a liaison between HR Manager and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of HR queries. This position will support daily HR activities and assist in coordinating HR processes and relevant documents
  • Assist with day to day operations of the HR function and duties
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources department
  • Compiling and creating employees new hire personal files records
  • Coordinating HR projects (meetings, training, survey etc.)
  • Assist with Onboarding activities which includes; pre-hire drug test, background checks , I-9 filing, EEO forms and welcoming of new hires on day one 
  • Support Regional Operations with day to day tasks and requests including all pay changes research and document preparation
  • Assist with all SharePoint requests relating to employee changes; hires, termination, and other  HR update
  • Provide first round support to employees regarding questions relating to benefit, company policy, and other inquiries; escalate where needed.
  • Assist with all HR documentation which includes, mailing, scanning and filling
  • Maintaining and organizing all Human Resources filing, including personnel and general files.
  • Following and enforcing corporate policies and controls.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in an office administrative role.
