Our client is a $20 billion global heavy civil construction company.  They have engaged us to help them find a Human Resources Manager, preferably with construction experience, in Durham, NC  Compensation is dependent on experience, and benefits are incredible including medical, dental, vision, and matching 401k.

Human Resources Manager
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the on-boarding process, including conducting new-hire orientations and accurate completion of the new hire paperwork and E-Verify for Corporate Human Resources
  • Responsible for employee relations; handles employee relations counseling, provides advice, counsel and guidance on personnel issues
  • Communicate, Implement and insure adherence to company policies and procedures to comply with Federal and State legislation
  • Administer the employee New Hire Enrollment and Open Enrollment processes in Ultipro
  • Conduct thorough and objective investigations as needed, assess risk and determines appropriate course of action
  • Handle supervisor requests and employee issues responsively with discretion and sensitivity
  • Assists T&D Manager in planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors
  • Responsible for reviewing 90-day new hire follow-up and exit interviews
  • Works closely with management to design, implement and execute strategies to recruit talent. 
  • Responsible for the management of the recruitment process for all positions
  • Active recruitment of new employees through all the media systems to capture and recruit additional talent.
  • Willing to travel to NC – Central and Virginia
  • Organize and coordinate local outreach events for State College talent recruitment and on the job training programs.
  • Support regional manager for project setup
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, or related major
  • 5+ years of senior Human Resources experience
  • Management or supervisory experience
