Receptionist - FT Permanent

We are in need a professional corporate receptionist to work in our client's midtown Manhattan office at 56th Street and 7th Avenue.  This is an immediate need and you could start as quickly as Tuesday January 16th, so apply now!
SUMMARY
The Receptionist is responsible for general reception and administrative duties, and will provide general office support with a variety of administrative activities. The Receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, requisition of supplies as well as additional administrative duties. 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Professionally answer telephones, screen calls, and direct callers to the appropriate employee. Transfer a caller to an associate’s voice mailbox when the associate is unavailable, may also need to take and retrieve messages for specific employees.
  • Provides callers with information such as company address, directions to the company location, company fax numbers, company website, and other related information.
  • Receives, sorts, and forwards incoming mail.
  • Track office supplies and order additional supplies as needed with Office Administrator.
  • Assist Office Administrator in stocking the lunchroom.
  • Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.).
  • Responsible for maintaining an updated phone list.
  • Greets and directs visitors in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
     
    REQUIREMENTS
  • Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • Professional demeanor
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet based searches.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in high pressure environment.
  • Ability to follow through on commitments and projects.
  • Strong planning, organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
  • Able to work collectively with the administrative team associates.
  • Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
